Hi guys! Today I have an exciting post – my Sephora VIB sale haul! I’m actually Rouge status (my wallet doesn’t approve) and so I got early access. I also am including a few goodies that I picked up in October.
Skin Laundry tonic: I am always on the hunt for a new toner, and this one seemed nice.
Sephora Collection Orchid Eye Sheet Mask: I’ve never heard of orchids in skincare before, and decided to try it because of that. I actually thought this was a full face mask, not an eye mask. The Sephora masks also seem to have weird uses for the main ingredients, so I never fully know what I’m getting. Orchid is supposed to be for anti-aging, which is great for my undereye area.
Sephora Favorites Tokyo to SoKo set: How can I say no to Asian beauty? I’ve tried a couple of these products before, but I will have a more complete review up soon! This collection includes products from Boscia, Too Cool for School, Belif, SK-II, AmorePacific, Shiseido, Dr. Jart, Tatcha, and Laneige.
Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Cream set: I loved the Cloud Cream Moisturizer sample I received in a Sephora Play box. The other two products in here are new to me.
The eye makeup:
Smashbox Eye Primer: The salesgirl in Sephora recommended this to me. I’m on the hunt for a new eye primer that prevents fading and creasing, but is easier to blend than the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I like to use eye primers to prevent concealer creasing in my undereye area, as well as on my actual lid.
Smashbox Shadow + Highlight Palette Set: Several months ago, I was in Ulta or Sephora and swatched a Smashbox Cover Shot palette that seemed closer to my tastes for an everyday work look than any others. I didn’t buy it then, and then didn’t see it in stores after that. And here it is – the Sultry palette! While the set is $10 more than the individual palette (full price), buying the set gives me another eye palette (Ablaze) and a highlighter trio (Pearl) to play with, and I don’t need to buy anything online.
Make Up For Ever eyeshadow single/refill in I544: I love shades like this – darker shimmery taupes, cool browns, and purples. It’s more of a satin finish, actually. I’m not as thrilled about that, but it’s more unique in my collection because of that.
Sephora Collection eye pencil in Lilac: I love purple eyeshadows, and decided to try this shimmery lilac shade. It is different than my only other lilac shade, as that one is pinker and with sparkles. This cream formula looks almost like a duochrome, as well.
The lip and face products:
Make Up For Ever foundation in Y245: I got this in a recent Sephora Play box and fell in love! Before getting this foundation, I probably only used foundation once a month since about February. My stash of BB creams were more than enough for me, and the only foundation I owned wasn’t that good (Too Faced Born this Way). It’s buildable and comfortable, and I don’t need to set it.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in shade 2.0: Another foundation! This has been on my maybe-I-should-try list for years. I’ve only tried it once, and don’t like how it clung to a dry patch, but I obviously still need to play around with it.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Highlighting Fluid in Sin: I love Sin as an eyeshadow, and I do like liquid highlighters. This 100-point perk fits in perfectly!
Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipsticks in Poe and Noble: These were on sale for $11 or $13. KVD is turning the Studded Kiss line vegan, and the old formula is getting marked down prior to that. Sometimes I find it hard to open the tubes because they’re a bit snug with a lot of thick plastic. The formula and scent remind me of MAC, which is just kind of so-so to me.
The final thoughts:
I bought a lot of stuff at the Sephora VIB sale. I probably shouldn’t have bought all of these, considering what I already own. But I’m still happy with all these purchases. They’re all things I will use and enjoy.
