Ulta, Sephora, Lush and Kiehl’s Haul

Ulta, Sephora, Lush and Kiehl’s Haul

Hi guys! It feels like forever since I last posted a haul, and as I picked up plenty of goodies, I decided to share them! Of course, it’s also been a hot minute since I last posted, but I’ve been playing around with my makeup and getting more invested in

At Kiehl’s:

I popped into Kiehl’s for some help with my skin. It’s been super dry lately, with a patch of super flaky, red, irritated skin on my chin. Every time it seems to calm down, it also becomes bumpy as if acne is emerging.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner – I have their Cucumber Herbal Toner already, and despite being for sensitive and dry skin, it irritates my skin a bit and doesn’t seem to hydrate my skin. The Ultra Facial Toner is worlds better!

Kiehl’s Overnight Mask – I’ve never known how to use an overnight mask before, and the in-store demo on the back of my hand was great!

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil – I currently have a facial oil similar to their daytime one and decided that the nighttime oil would work better. Lately, I’ve been using oils day and night so it seemed like a better fit at night!

At Sephora:

Kat Von D x Green Day eyeliner – I grew up being inspired by plenty of makeup-wearing musicians (whose music I also loved). Green Day was the first of said bands, and I first found out about this collab through a video with both Kat and Billy Joe Armstrong talking about it and their friendship together. How could I resist?! I will undoubtedly be going around with plenty of smoky panda eye looks in the near future.

Sephora Rose Sheet Mask – Somehow I blew through all my rose sheet masks, which are probably my favorite variety.

At Lush:

H’Suan Wen Hua: So far, this stuff has improved my scalp and dandruff some. And some help is better than none!

Superbalm – This is meant for dry scalp and the dandruff it can create. It’s something I found online but that nobody in the store ever mentioned to me (despite asking about dandruff multiple times).

At Ulta:

I went into the store to use up points and then placed an order online when I received a 20% off coupon.

Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Resist Intensive Eye Cream – I’m running low on eye cream, and purchasing this was my reason for heading into Ulta. I recently got a sample of this (mini-review here). Obviously, I’m therefore repurchasing! I decided to use up some points with this, and so had to figure out what else to get.

Mario Badescu Facial Sprays in Lavender &Chamomile and Aloe &Cucumber – I love the rose version and wanted to see what these were like!

Skin&Co Truffle Therapy Cleansing Oil – I love trying new cleansing oils, and this was an online exclusive! I probably could have bought it later on, as I do have plenty of other cleansing oils to go through before this, but I buy online from Ulta so rarely that using my 20% off coupon now is fine.

Skinfood Royal Honey Essential Emulsion – I wanted to pick up online-exclusive K-Beauty products. Everything from Cosrx that I was drawn to was out of stock, as were some of the serums from Skinfood.

Mizani 25 Miracle Milk Leave-in Treatment – Trying out a new leave-in product for my hair!

Ulta Pumpkin Cream Mask and Detoxifying Charcoal Mask – These little pouches are adorable! They were BOGO 50% off. Both are great fits for my skin’s needs, and I love the smaller size!

Tonymoly Master Lab Ceramide Sheet Mask – I loved this mask so much I had to buy another! Read about it in my January Empties.

Soo Ae Hanbang Snail and Green Tea sheet masks – A new K-Beauty brand!

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – I was earning 5x points on UD, and decided to stock up. This is a second repurchase.

Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne Kaleidoscope Dreams Palette – These shades seem super fun with great pigmentation!

Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick in Cat Lady – This is for my grandmother. I own the shade, and she asked me to get it for her. As I already gave it to her, my version is in the pictures.

Nyx Duochromatic Powder Highlight in Lavender Steel (not shown) – I already own the blue one and this was too pretty to resist. I love lavender!

Ofra Universal Brow Pencil – A repurchase. I’m currently using up my current one in my Project Pan.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso – Repurchase. Beso is my favorite red lippie. The formula is a bit mousse-y and less drying and the shade is the perfect true red.

Nyx Love You So Mochi Sleek and Chic Eyeshadow Palette – I’m not sure where any of the colors from the Mochi line comes from, since mochi is white and made from rice. I’m used to red bean paste as a filling (aka a dark red). But these pinks seem like great everyday colors!

The clearance:

There was also a huge section filled with clearance Nyx products near the checkout. Seriously a third of the normal Nyx display. From the size, I’d assume these are getting discontinued. It’s possible there may be a repackaging in the works for maybe a couple products. All of them were half-priced! So I picked up a few:

Nyx Eyeshadow single in Maybe Later – a standard transition/crease matte brown shade that I’ll get plenty of use out of. I use this kind of shade all the time.

Nyx Dreamcatcher Palette in Golden Horizons – I had no idea that there were multiple versions of this palette. This one was more wearable than the other I saw. The palette has a good selection of shades for an everyday look.

The freebies:

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye

Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate

Keihl’s Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream

Kiehl’s Hydro Plumping Retexturizing Serum Concentrate

Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Moisturizer

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream

Supergoop Everyday SPF 50

Bliss Body Butter in Grapefruit & Aloe

The verdict:

Oh boy! This was thankfully not quite as expensive as it could have been, but still… As always, let me know if you want a review of anything!

  1. Great haul. I personally didn’t like Kristen Leanne palette, as pigmented as it is. For some reason I was expecting something else from her but I guess those shades are ones she uses often too. I did like the Mochi palette, I’ve been seeing it all over Instagram and it looks super cute. I also would like to try that hair mask from lush because I also have dandruff that gets worse if I don’t wash my hair (even though I’m trying to wash my hair less.

    1. I really don‘t know a thing about Kristen Leanne, I just saw a palette that looked interesting lol. Both mochi palettes are really cute, aren‘t they?! I kind of want to pick up the other one as well, but I’m trying to convince myself not to. It‘s been taking me a while to figure out what causes and what helps my dandruff. The balm seems to help me more, but it also makes my hair look super oily right away. I think I‘ve found all the products that help my hair and I plan on making a post about it.
