Hi guys! It’s time for my first Project Pan update!
If you want to know more about the products I picked or the rules, check out my intro post here!
This is a collab with Rossy over at AyRGalaxy, so definitely check out her post as well! We decided to skip our first post, as we wouldn’t have much progress to show right away. While I didn’t show it in my first post, I did mark how much was in products to keep track of them and so I’m comparing them here. Some of these marks may not be visible in the photos, but they’re there!
The Body Shop Body Butters in Almond and Passion Fruit: A bit of use with both of these. Definitely more in the Almond scent, though. I’ve “hit pan”, but I usually just work my way along one side with these sort of products.
The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel: I’ve been using one or two pumps of this every time I take a shower, and this has gone down maybe a quarter of an inch. There’s just so much product in here that progress is so slow!
Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream: I’ve used this a couple times. I’m around a quarter of the way done! The product line is down around the word Bees.
Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 30: Untouched.
The Body Shop Shea Hand Cream: Untouched. I still have both of my currently-open creams around, as well. I should have included one of those here!
The cleansers, masks, and toners:
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser: I finished off my old cleanser and started using the smaller version of this! I’m most of the way through it, actually! I’m on the last line of text before the Fresh logo (which says 20mL).
Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel: Untouched.
Skin Laundry Balancing Antioxidant Toner: My skin had to get used to this product, and I think I’ve mostly transitioned in with it. It barely irritates my skin now. I’m about a quarter to a third of the way done.
Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner: This is meant for dry and sensitive skin, yet does nothing for my dry skin and seems to irritate it. I’m unsure whether I should switch this out or destash it, as it hasn’t gone bad and I don’t have a good replacement. I do have another toner, but with that one I’d probably just use it every day until it runs out, rather than have to try to work at something. That said, I have used this toner a bit but I’m still above the sticker.
Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Micellar Water: I’ve used a surprising amount of this so far! I’ve been using this to take off makeup when I’m just fooling around. I started at the word “Micellar” and ended up at the first line of small text.
Skinfood Rice Wash-off Mask: I’ve gone through nearly half of this! I realized I also wasn’t really showing this right for comparison, either.
Peter Thomas Roth Black Moor Mud mask: I’ve used this several times. The tub is large enough that it doesn’t look like a big change, and I’m still along the lidded part.
Skinfood Egg White Pore Hot Steam Pack: I’ve used this a couple times. I can’t tell how much is in here.
The serums, treatments, and moisturizers:
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum: I’ve been using this more. My skin has been super dry this winter and this did help. Can’t tell how much is in here.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: What was I thinking with including this?! I’m bad at using overnight spot treatments like this, and you use so little product with each use that I’m torn about replacing this with another spot treatment that I use more.
Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion : Used it once or twice. There is way more of a change in level here than I expected. It was like an eighth of an inch. Maybe I’d marked it poorly the first time?
Belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb: EMPTIED! Check out my empties post here!
Belif The True Cream – Moisture Bomb: I’ve used this a lot recently, but there’s still a lot of product. I’m around where the cap ends.
Missha Super Aqua Snail Cream: Used a couple times. It’s right around the bottom of the lid.
Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 30: I used this like once.
The eye makeup:
BareMinerals Gorgeous Eyes Unlocked eyeshadows: Most of these have at least some new dip. With the two darker shimmery shades (Sceptre and a mix of Filigree and Mystique) the reflection of light makes the dips look larger than they are. I may have hit pan on the gold, Rock Crystal. This morning something in the pan caught the light differently than the rest of the shade. It could also just be glitter, though.
Fyrinnae eyeshadows in Snow Leopard, Sloth Snuggles, Steampunk, and Polar Bear: I hit pan on Snow Leopard! I used some of Sloth Snuggles and Polar Bear, and maybe one or two uses of Steampunk. I haven’t used Polar Bear a ton, but the nature of loose shadow makes it harder to tell just how much I have used.
Estee Lauder eyeshadow quad: I’ve got plenty of use from this. I was especially surprised by the darkest shade, as it looked pretty much untouched until all of a sudden there’s a dip. The lightest shade looks pretty close to hitting pan. The green also has a more prominent dip, and the dip grew in the lighter brown.
Cargo Cosmetics eyeliner: I’ve sharpened it four times, I think, including one time after the entire tip broke off.
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha: I used this a couple times and sharpened it once. Will definitely need to use it more!
Ofra Eyebrow pencil in Universal Taupe: I’ve sharpened it three or four times, including once where the tip broke off. My goal for this check-in was to sharpen down to the word “Eyebrow” on the side of the package, and I did that! The tip breaking was actually from when I first sharpened it down to this text, so goal accomplished even without that. I’m currently at the first E in Eyebrow.
The face makeup:
Smashbox Primer Water: I used this a couple times. I may use it as a setting spray once I finish off my current one, as well. Again, there was more of a change in levels than I expected.
Nyx Dark Circle Corrector: Used a couple times. The panned area looks marginally larger.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation: I used this pretty frequently (at least three or four times a week). I didn’t check where this level was when I started (I’m assuming at the edge of the clear and silver band) but there’s a surprising change considering I started this in February!
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight in Opal: It’s harder to tell how much of this I use, as the product moves around in the tube a bit. Some parts are taller than others. But last month, the top of the product was right around the first R in Perfector, but now I’m at the S in Skin! But then I had marked the back, and that level went down like a fifth of that amount.
Lorac Beauty and the Beast blush palette: Used mainly the darker shades. There isn’t a ton of visible change, which I expected.
The lip products:
Neutrogena lipstick in Rich Raisin: EMPTIED! This disappeared pretty quickly. It seemed to go from a little under halfway full to under a quarter full super quickly!
Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Protest: I got this down to about a quarter full. And then I smashed the top -_-.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector: I did use this some, but it’s more like one-third full. I wanted to focus on this more in the warmer months.
I didn’t expect to go through these lippies so quickly, so I’m adding the Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Pink Parfait. It’s much more of a spring color and I would have tried going through this anyway. I think it’s my oldest lipstick in my collection.
DKNY City Woman: I wasn’t really trying to go through this much, as it’s a lighter scent more suited to spring and summer, but I did get some use from it. I like mixing it with other scents.
Tocca Florence: A decent bit of use from this!
Eva NYC dry shampoo: I finished off my old dry shampoo and started using this. I’ve only used it a few times, though.
OGX argan hair oil: Again, I finished off the old one and started using this.
Tony & Guy Cleanse shampoo: I’m repurposing this to clean my makeup brushes, but have only done that like twice.
I’m super excited by my progress over a lot of these products! I have the feeling most of these will be finished in a few months, but then a bunch of products may take well over a year to go through!
