April Empties

April Empties

Hi everyone! I’m back with another month of empties! This month, I didn’t get through quite as much as in previous months. Sometimes, that happens, though!

Body:

Tonymoly Panda’s Deam Hand Cream: I bought this for the panda packaging. One of my favorite animals! It had a very sweet berry scent which wasn’t my favorite. It was a pretty good hand cream but not great. You can also imagine that the top half of the container (the lid) is empty so there wasn’t a ton of product in here.
Would I repurchase? No, but I’d like to repurpose the container for other creams!

Kat Von D Sinner perfume: It’s warm, sweet, and dark and very pretty, and I did like this scent. However, it’s a very safe scent for the name. Other than dark, it seems pretty tame. I was honestly wearing this to work, and Sinner connotes something very different.
Would I repurchase? No – I have other similar scents that I’d probably buy instead.

Skincare:

Up&Up Premium Cotton Rounds: I liked these. They’re my second pack of the premium rounds, rather than the basic, and I’m not sure that I’m willing to spend so much more money on them. These are incredibly soft in comparison to the basic ones, though.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser: Originally a Sephora birthday gift from 2016 and part of my Project Pan. I did really like this cleanser. It was light and definitely didn’t strip my skin!
Would I repurchase? I currently have two other (larger) tubes of this, but after those and my three million other cleansers, yes.

Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate: I’m not entirely sure if I like this oil. There’s just something about face oils with citrus in them. I don’t think I like it (but I think that’s from scent) and am not entirely sold on different face oils for morning and night.
Would I repurchase? No.

Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum: Also an oil, and also my second sample. I really like this. Part of it is the really great, relaxing scent. I like the argan and rose oils, too!
Would I repurchase? Yes but boy is it pricey!

Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream: This was a pretty good moisturizer. I liked it, especially for something a little lighter for the day. It has an interesting fresh scent as well.
Would I repurchase? No.

Makeup:

Maybelline Dream BB Fresh: Review here. I really love this stuff for a comfortable sheer-coverage BB cream and mix it with my Smashbox BB Water all the time! The only thing is that this shade, 110 Light/Medium, is a little dark for me and that 100 Light doesn’t seem available around me (not even on Ulta’s website).
Would I repurchase? Yes, although it’s a fight with the CoverGirl CG Smoothers BB Cream. I repurchased the CoverGirl one since I found a lighter shade.

Clarins Natural Light Instant Lip Perfector in shade 05: Also part of my Project Pan. This is a gloss for people who don’t like gloss. It’s sort of between a gloss and a balm and gives just a very pretty pink flush to the lips. It’s not sticky at all and is just very comfortable and hydrating. Almost perfecting. The scent is also nice.
Would I repurchase? Maybe as a mini, not the full size.

That’s all for April!

  1. You’re the second or third person who has the fresh soy cleanser. I want to try it so bad but their price is stopping me lol. I hear nothing but good things about it,
And I wanted to get the panda hand cream too a few years back. I ended up buying an eye stick instead to hydrate my under eye area but my son ruined it so i had to toss it lol. But repurposing the container for something else sounds like a fantastic idea. I’ve been doing the same thing with my lush empty containers.

    1. There’s a deluxe sample of the Fresh cleanser that you may be able to try. It’s still expensive at $15 but a good way to try it.
You know that you can return Lush containers? If you bring back six, they give you a free face mask.
