Project Pan Update #2

Hi guys!If you want to know more about the products I picked or the rules, check out my intro post here!

The body:

The Body Shop Body Butters in Almond and Passion Fruit: I hit pan in Passion Fruit and expanded the one in Almond.

The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel: I got through about twice as much product as I did in my first update. I normally use something for body acne where I need it and then go in with my normal shower gel everywhere else. I switched from a body wash to a hard soap bar for my acne product, and don’t have as much excess product from the soap.

Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream: It felt like I used this a decent amount. Not a ton, but it did seem like there should have been a bigger change in levels.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 30: Untouched. This year has been pretty cold so far and I just haven’t needed this much.

The Body Shop Shea Hand Cream: I finally got into this and started using some of it!

The cleansers and toners:

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser mini: EMPTIED!

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser deluxe sample: Untouched. I’ll be finishing off the Dermalogica cleanser first, as that’s older.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel: I forgot to mark the bottle before taking this picture, but I got down to about the word “gel” on the bottle. A surprising amount of progress, especially since the other bottle of this that I had lasted me at least six months (I was using acne cleansers a lot more).

Skin Laundry Balancing Antioxidant Toner: I still got a good amount of use from this. I’m about halfway done this.

Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner: Still on the fence with this. It seems to be less irritating now, and I managed to get down below the sticker.

Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Micellar Water: I felt like I was using this a bit more consistently in the past month but didn’t use it as much before that. I’m excited to have used so much of this!

The masks:

Skinfood Rice Wash-off Mask: Down to maybe a quarter of product remaining!

Peter Thomas Roth Black Moor Mud mask: A good amount of use in this! I’m also trying to use up an Origins Clear Improvements mask sample, so I didn’t use this all the time.

Skinfood Egg White Pore Hot Steam Pack: I only used this a couple times. Not a big change.

The serums, treatments, and moisturizers:

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum: EMPTIED!

Mario Badescu Drying LotionLa Roche Posay Effaclar Duo: I rarely use overnight products like the drying lotion. And I still have so much product left in my Effaclar Duo, which I already use as a nighttime spot treatment. I’ve been using this for about six or eight months and still have more than half the product left.

Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion: I don’t know what happened, but later the same day that I took pictures, the product level was down a bit farther than where I marked it. Either way, I got a good amount of use from this.

Belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb: EMPTIED in Update #1.

Belif The True Cream – Moisture Bomb: Got through a large amount of this – I’m about two thirds of the way done. This will be put aside for the summer.

Missha Snail Cream: Also more use from this. I’d say I’m over halfway done.

Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 30: I got some use from this, but I’m not using this everyday yet. It can irritate my skin, especially when I wear makeup.

The eye makeup:

My goal was to hit pan on two more shades, which I did. I also rearranged the shades in my Z Palette a little to keep things interesting and make it easier to use.

BareMinerals Gorgeous Eyes Unlocked eyeshadows: I hit pan on Rhyme, the warm shade. I also made the pan in Rock Crystal (the yellow) larger and got a good amount of use from the other shades.

Fyrinnae eyeshadows in Snow Leopard, Sloth Snuggles, Steampunk, and Polar Bear: A bit more use from all of these shades. I think I ended up using Polar Bear the most, but this shade is so hard to compare since it is loose.

Estee Lauder eyeshadow quad: Hit pan on Ivory Slipper! I got a good amount of use on the green, and think that may be the next shade that I’ll pan in here.

Cargo Cosmetics eyeliner: I sharpened this a couple times, maybe three or four times? Not a ton of use, but I did see a change in height comparing this to last month. This used to be longer than my Nyx pencil!

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha: Again, I didn’t get quite as much use from this as I wanted, but it’s still better than nothing.

Ofra Eyebrow pencil in Universal Taupe: EMPTIED! Or all but. I took the photos over the weekend and have used this since then. I just don’t really want to hold onto a pencil stub for two more months.

The face makeup:

Smashbox Primer Water: I forgot this was part of my Project Pan! There was a little bit of use but not a ton.

Nyx Dark Circle Corrector: I think the pan is a little larger! I think I may have found the perfect eye cream and application for a really flawless look with this (it’s a temperamental color corrector).

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation: The marker line from the last update rubbed away, but comparing it to last month’s picture, there’s some use! I’m now down to the words, at least!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight in Opal: I got a bit of use from this, but 1. the product moves around too much to get a consistent reading and 2. the marker lines rubbed away. I’m currently only able to compare the product level where the text is, and I’m now at the “N” of Shimmering. Last month I was at the “S” of Skin, so not a huge difference.

Lorac Beauty and the Beast blush palette: My photos didn’t show off the dips well. The top two shades, Enchanted and Fearless, have the largest dips and are the easiest to see.

The lip products:

I seem to be panning lippies pretty quickly right now. But I won’t be adding any more replacement shades. I’d still use them similarly if they were in my project pan or not, and the updates aren’t as exciting because they’re getting panned too fast.

Neutrogena lipstick in Rich Raisin: EMPTIED in Update #1.

Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Protest: EMPTIED!

Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector: EMPTIED!

Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Pink Parfait: I’m glad I added this in my last update. And I got this down from about half left to a third left.

The perfume:

DKNY City Woman: I pretty much doubled the amount of use I got in the past two months compared to my first update. Really excited by this since it seems more attainable to finish off.

Tocca Florence: Very similar to City Woman – the end is in sight for this! Which is a bit of a shame, since I do really love the scent but have too many perfumes to go through before I’d want to repurchase.

The hair:

(Old photo above – no markings on it).Eva NYC dry shampoo: Change undectable. I probably should weigh this or something.

OGX argan hair oil: A slight change here. I didn’t see a large enough change in this one product to need pictures of all my hair products.

Tony & Guy Cleanse shampoo: Not much change. My brushes are rather dirty.

The results:

I finished off 5 products! I also hit pan on three products. I’m feeling pretty good about a lot of these – the end is in sight!

  1. Yay I am finally getting around to reading this post. I’m sorry it has taken me forever I’m so behind on reading lol. But, I was curious about what you think of the formula 10.0.6 micellar water. I just got it and only used it less than. 5 times so far because I really wanted and needed one.
And that’s so great that you’ve hit the pan on your make up products. I don’t think that’s going to happen with me unfortunately. And I’m actually thinking about tossing some of those products away instead of tryin to use them because I’ve barely gotten the chance to use them at all. So we’ll see. Hopefully that’s not cheating lmao.

    1. I’m not a huge fan of micellar waters to begin with, but I wasn’t too impressed with this Formula 10.0.6 one. It can leave a sticky residue on my skin and I need to be a little harsh while rubbing this onto my skin.
If the eyeshadow isn’t working for you, there’s no reason to force it! I think sometimes we just need a chance to decide if we actually like things and if we want to use them all up!
