June Empties

June Empties

Hi guys! I’m back for my monthly empties post. My blog has taken a backseat for the time being. I’ll undoubtedly give an update on things, but for the most part, some things are changing in my life and my relationship to makeup has changed. I’ve spent some time on the Makeup Rehab subreddit, as well, which is all about being smarter with what makeup I buy and own.

Now, onto the empties! I wasn’t as excited by my empties, as the pile seemed small, but over half the items are full-sized!

The body products:

Tarte Brazilliance Plus+ Self-tanner (deluxe sample): My first self-tanner. I liked it decently, but don’t have anything to compare it to. I used it mainly on my legs, as I don’t get a chance to tan them as much as my arms. It seemed like it could stain clothes, even a couple hours after applying.
Would I repurchase? Maybe, but I’ll try others first.

Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Hand Cream: My HG work hand cream. Lightweight, unscented, sinks in quickly, and yet very moisturizing! This is my third or fourth tube.
Would I repurchase? Yes!

The perfume:

Tocca Florence: Part of my Project Pan! This is the first non-sample-sized perfume I finished off in years! I’m talking like five years. Obviously, I really enjoyed the scent! It’s got a very green garden-y scent to it (I’ve come to realize that I love greenery in perfumes).
Would I repurchase? Probably.

The skincare:

Origins Clear Improvements Active Charcoal Mask (deluxe sample): a standard charcoal mask but nothing special.
Would I repurchase? No.

Perricone MD Hydrating Cloud Cream: I like the Peter Thomas Roth cloud cream moisturizer better. This one was just a little less smooth.
Would I repurchase? No.

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with Vitamin E & Peppermint: The peppermint was a mistake. I’m not a big fan of a tingly sensation, and it seems unnecessary when I’m just going to bed. It was a good lip balm otherwise, although not great.
Would I repurchase? Maybe a different flavor.

The makeup:

Tarte Precision Longwear Liner: It was a good pen liner. I wasn’t wowed by it.
Would I repurchase? Maybe if it was on sale again for 50% off.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara: This was a decent mascara, but wasn’t entirely what I like and look for in one. I’m bad with really being able to say what I like in a mascara, but I enjoy a mix of volume and length, but this focused a lot more on volume.
Would I repurchase? No.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Pink Parfait: Finally! I added it into my project pan to hopefully finish this off once and for all! It’s my oldest lipstick in my collection, at around 5 years old, and it’s a shimmery pink. I don’t know exactly what changed, but I realized I don’t like this formula as much. I think it’s from whatever ingredient is used to get the shimmer finish, as none of the cream EL lipsticks I’ve tried included it.
Would I repurchase? No, but it’s possible someone in my family will try giving me another of these that was a GWP.

June was a pretty good month for empties, all things considered!
