Project Pan Update #3

Hi guys! It’s time for another project pan update! Don’t forget, this is a collab with Rossy over at AyRGalaxy, so be sure to check out her post!

If you want to know more about the products I picked or the rules, check out my intro post here!

The body:

The Body Shop Body Butters in Almond and Passion Fruit: A good amount of use, especially in Passion Fruit.

The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel: I got a decent amount of use from this. But I’m starting to get a bit annoyed that it’s taking forever when I have a bunch of soap bars to use, too.

Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream: I may have used this once or twice.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 30: Untouched, even in summer.

The Body Shop Shea Hand Cream: I got some use from this but again, not much.

The cleansers and toners:

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser: First one was EMPTIED in Update #1. The larger size is untouched.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel: I didn’t use as much of this as last time, but should be done by next month hopefully!

Skin Laundry Balancing Antioxidant Toner: I’m getting down with this – I’m now down to the French!

Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner Kiehls’ Ultra Facial Toner: The cucumber toner is irritating, and I’d rather not deal with it. I actually got this Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner around the same time as the other toners.

Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Micellar Water: I’ve gone down to the third-to-last line of text in the big paragraph on the front. About the same amount of use as with the other updates!

The masks:

Skinfood Rice Wash-off Mask: I used this once or twice, and don’t even think it deserves a new line drawn. I’ve been holding off on this one to compare it with another rice mask. There will hopefully be a review soon.

Peter Thomas Roth Black Moor Mud mask: A decent bit of use in here. I’m sort of burrowing down along the side of it, which makes marking it difficult.

Skinfood Egg White Pore Hot Steam Pack: Again, barely used.

The serums, treatments, and moisturizers:

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum: EMPTIED in Update #2.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo: Not a lot of use here. I think it’s supposed to be for all over the face, but I use it as a spot treatment.

Skinfood Peach Sake Emulsion: I got through a ton of this! You can definitely tell that it’s what I’m using this summer. That said, I’ll be happy once I see it panned – it hasn’t been doing much for my skin lately and I’d rather it be done.

Belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb: EMPTIED in Update #1.

Belif The True Cream – Moisture Bomb: Not much use, as it’s a richer, heavier moisturizer for winter.

Missha Snail Cream: Not a lot of use, but there is some change. I’ve been really bad at doing my skincare routine at night.

Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 30 Supergoop Everyday Sunscreen SPF 50: Another switch of products, as the Neutrogena one irritated my skin every time I used it. I’ve used this Supergoop one in the past and decided to repurchase that instead.

The eye makeup:

This is where I really start feeling accomplished! Especially exciting is that I’ve been using these shades less and still made all this progress. I’ve been switching up panning these shades with a different palette (one week these shades, one week something else from my collection).

BareMinerals Gorgeous Eyes Unlocked eyeshadows: I’ve hit pan on a ton more shades! Of all these BareMinerals shades, the only one left to pan is the mixture of Filigree and Mystique (top right in Z-palette), which obviously has twice the amount of product. Even Sceptre, the dark bronze, has the tiniest baby pan visible. I’ve also made the previous pans, Rhyme and Rock Crystal, a lot bigger!

Fyrinnae eyeshadows in Snow Leopard, Sloth Snuggles, Steampunk, and Polar Bear: I finally hit pan in Steampunk, and have made Snow Leopard a lot wider. I’d love to finish off Polar Bear and hit side pan in Snow Leopard by the next update! Forgot to show Polar Bear in the photo.

Estee Lauder eyeshadow quad: Finally hit pan in the light brown shade (Wild Sable), and again widened the other two pans!

Cargo Cosmetics eyeliner: I’m getting somewhere with this. Slowly.

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha: Again, not as much use from this. It’s kind of amazing how much product is in here. I was hoping to be at this point at the last update.

Ofra Eyebrow pencil in Universal Taupe: EMPTIED in Update #2.

The face makeup:

Smashbox Primer Water: The old line has disappeared off this, but I used it rarely.

Nyx Dark Circle Corrector: I’ve said that there’s a small difference in my other updates, but this time around I actually feel like that’s true. The pan is a lot wider. I’m trying to work my way out and expand the pan to one side, and in that area, the product is shallower than the rest of the edges.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation: Not a ton of use/difference. I’ve been going foundation-free to work at times, still wear BB cream often, and have been using my Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation at times, too.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight in Opal: There’s a good amount of use here. I’m down to the first “i” in Shimmering.

Lorac Beauty and the Beast blush palette: Why is it so hard to show progress on blushes? I’ve mostly been using See Beyond and Enchanted, and am expecting/hoping to hit pan soon on See Beyond.

The lip products:

Neutrogena lipstick in Rich Raisin: EMPTIED in Update #1.

Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Protest: EMPTIED in Update #2.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector: EMPTIED in Update #2.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Pink Parfait: EMPTIED! This is an entire category finished! Empties review here.

The perfume:

DKNY City Woman: I got through a good amount of this, although not as much as in my last update. I’m really getting to the point of wanting to be done with this perfume, as I have similar scents that I like more and it’s the perfect time of year to wear them.

Tocca Florence: EMPTIED! So excited to get to this point!

The hair:

Eva NYC dry shampoo: Can’t detect changes with this. Got a decent amount of use.

OGX argan hair oil: I apparently have been neglecting this. It doesn’t look any different than last update.

Tony & Guy Cleanse shampoo: Finally some use here.

The results:

Obviously, the big changes were in the makeup category, as I expected! Five eyeshadow pans, and plenty of use in other categories.

Don’t forget to check out Rossy’s post here!

  1. This is amazing progress! I don’t feel like I got anywhere with eyeshadows and probably won’t in the next 6 months because a lot I’ve hardly touched, so at this point I’m thinking of decluttering since I don’t use it. But I love the progress you’ve made and I hope you get a few more empties next update, two months from now 🙂

    1. I feel like my products are mostly coming along, just slowly. It seems like there should be a bunch of things finished off by the next update! I think eyeshadows definitely make it easier to see progress. I’m kind of lucky with how I chose shades that I’m still interested in using instead of getting bored of.
